At Southern Pools and Spas, our mission is to help our customers create memories!  Whether it’s having the entire neighborhood over for a summer pool party, or soaking in a hot tub after a long day of work with your partner of 25 years, we believe that swimming pools and spas facilitate precious moments that you will cherish forever.

Not only do our products help you create long-lasting memories, but they also provide you with constructive health benefits.  Swimming is the best aerobic activity on the planet, and hot tubs produce exponential health benefits like stress relief, pain relief, and even help you get a better night’s sleep.

Our mission was established by our founder, Rick Singleton in 1998 when he started Southern Pools and Spas in Abingdon, Virginia.  Rick had a passion for helping people spend more quality time with their families, in the beautiful Appalachian landscape that embodies Virginia and Tennessee.

As Southern Pools and Spas continued to grow, Rick intentionally sought out world-class employees and team members who also believed in the Southern Pools and Spas mission.  Two key team members Rick had recruited were Cory Singleton, his son, and Josh Arnold, a long-time friend of Rick and Cory’s.  With Rick’s vision, and Cory and Josh’s passion and work ethic, Southern Pools and Spas would experience record-breaking growth that would earn them national attention.  Southern Pools and Spas has helped thousands of homeowners purchase a swimming pool or hot tub.  Some have even purchased both!

Under the encouraging guidance of Rick, Southern Pools and Spas has now grown to three locations including Bristol, Virginia, Kingsport, Tennessee, and Johnson City, Tennessee.  You may know this area as “The Tri-Cities”.
